Request Payment From Your Plan
It can take up to three weeks for our office to receive payments from 529 plans (with the exception of the PA 529 College Savings Program that sends payments electronically), so please authorize your payment with that in mind to ensure the payment reaches us by the due date for the term. We post payments the day we receive them, so keep an eye on PittPAY to see when your 529 payment has reached our office and is posted to the student account.
Please visit your 529 or College Savings Plan’s website to see what you need to submit to them to support your request for a payment. All plans have different forms and request different documents.

The PA 529 College Savings Program includes two different savings plans. If you have the PA 529 Guaranteed Savings Plan, the state will send your payment to us electronically. If you have the PA 529 Investment Plan, or a plan from any other state or organization, ask them to include the student’s full name and 7 digit student ID on the check and mail it to:
