Fall Aid Disbursement Begins August 18
Have you completed your aid requirements so your aid can disburse to your student account?
Federal regulations require the University to wait until 10 days before the official start of each term to post scholarships, grants, and loans to students’ accounts. For fall term 2017, aid begins to disburse on August 18. In the meantime, aid the student has accepted appears on the student account in PittPAY as Anticipated Aid, reducing the amount you owe. However, students have requirements to meet; Anticipated Aid will expire and loans will never disburse to the student’s account if these requirements are not met.
- First, students must accept or decline loans and work study awards. (Note, work study awards are never posted to the student account because students earn a paycheck for the hours they work.)
- Students must complete Entrance Counseling AND Promissory Notes for their loans.
- Parent PLUS Loan borrowers who are borrowing for the first time at Pitt must complete the Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov
Be sure to monitor your Pitt email account regularly for important notices about your financial aid and student account.
